22-year-old Airdrie resident arrested in drug trafficking probe – DiscoverAirdrie.com

A 22-year-old Airdrie man was arrested earlier this month after Mounties launched an investigation into drug trafficking spanning Rocky View County, Airdrie, and the city of Calgary.

Airdrie RCMP stated that on August 2, Nathan Dwumaah was arrested after it was found that he was breaching his current release order conditions from a previous Airdrie RCMP drug investigation.

Dwumahh was subsequently charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Failing to comply with the release order condition, and Resisting / Obstructing a peace officer. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 10 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cochrane.

In March 2024, two Airdrie residents were charged with several offences following a search warrant executed at a residence in the city’s southwest.

“During the search of the residence, members of Airdrie’s Crime Reduction Unit found a handgun, cocaine, fentanyl, and cash,” police stated previously. 

At that time, Dwumaah was one of the men charged. He was charged with several counts, including possession of a restricted firearm without a license, possession of a weapon contrary to an order, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) for trafficking, as well as possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) for trafficking.
